We can offer you the following different types of hearing aids:
In The Ear (ITE) Hearing Aids
In the ear hearing aids are one of the most popular styles. Their simple, comfortable and are custom made for you. Our Consultant will advise on your suitability for this type of aid as other factors have to be taken into consideration ie., degree of hearing loss, ability to handle the aid for cleaning and battery changing etc.
Open Fit Hearing Aids - Receiver In The Ear (RITE)
They are extremely lightweight and are essentially invisible hearing aids. They consist of a small plastic casing that sits on top of and behind the ear. A thin clear tube is attached to this case and is hidden in the ear canal.
There are a number of advantages to this type of aid:
Behind The Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids
This type of hearing aid is usually more powerful than ITE, ITC or CIC aids - the bigger shell design can house a bigger amplifier and battery. For
this reason, BTE aids are often the only choice for people with severe hearing loss. It has a dual purpose, the modern BTE can have a slimmer tube with power dome for most losses or alternatively using a custom mould for severe hearing loss.
